Low level of emotional attachment: Employees and companies are drifting apart.

Gallup has once again published its report on the Engagement Index Germany 2022. It analyses the relationship between employees and their workplace in depth.

The central conclusion: Employees increasingly lack emotional ties to their employer and the prevailing working environment there.

Only 13% of respondents experience a positive working environment as a result of leadership — the lowest figure since 2010. The consequences are massive, as employees who do not feel well leave the company sooner or later. According to Gallup, as many as 18% of employees have already resigned internally. This is also a record since 2012.

Values such as these clearly testify to massive upheavals in the German labor market, to which companies absolutely must react. For them, the question is how trust and loyalty can be regained and employees can thus be retained in the long term. After all, 3 out of 4 companies report shortages of skilled workers.

It shows that up to 43% less fluctuation, 81% less absenteeism, 41% fewer quality deficiencies, and thus higher overall company productivity can be achieved.
