Press Center: The story behind DeepSkill
In the future, emotional skills like flexible problem-solving and resilience will be essential. With DeepSkill, we enable all employees in an organization to develop these skills.
Our founding story
Schools, training institutions, and universities primarily focus on teaching technical skills. Yet, studies show that emotional skills are just as crucial for professional success.
This was also the experience of DeepSkill co-founder Miriam during her career as a VP at a tech corporation. The most successful projects were often those where managers prioritized emotional skills, such as building trust between teams. So, why not bring these so-called deep skills to a broader workforce?
That idea gave rise to DeepSkill: The Cologne-based HR tech start-up offers intelligent programs for team development, leaders, experts, and talent. With algorithm-based configuration, HR professionals receive customized learning paths for their organizations. The blended learning programs empower professionals and leaders in essential future skills such as critical thinking, navigating complexity, and fostering collaboration—ensuring they remain competitive in the market.
DeepSkill’s team is based in Cologne, with an additional office in Hamburg.
