DeepSkill presents important transformation skills at the 'SME — SME Meets Start-Up 'event: Focus on change, resilience and employee retention.

KMUp Event: Employee Motivation and Mindset Transformation in the Automotive Sector

DeepSkill was able to attend the event in November KMup — SMEs meet start-ups impress with its innovative solutions and prospects for the automotive sector and inspire new measures.

The TrendAuto2030plus event on November 15, 2023 brought together numerous companies and start-ups in and around the automotive and supplier industries for creative discussions, networking and mutual learning from each other. Laura Kottwitz and Marco Scharpenack from our People Development Team were there for DeepSkill at the Innovation Hub in Gummersbach — in addition to a further 80 participants from business, business development and science.

In speed dating, networking and exchange rounds, topics related to production and business models, circular economy, organization and qualification, artificial intelligence and automation were discussed.

HR solutions are in demand more than ever

Long-term strategies and sustainable investments point SMEs to a promising future — particularly important when transformation pressure increases. The fresh perspective of an aspiring startup can provide broadened perspectives and reveal innovative solutions.

Appropriate for this is our presentation on the topic Shaping the future: employee motivation and mindset transformation in the automotive sector With our People Development Manager Laura Kottwitz, she was twice as successful: As an expert, she was able to present the topic in two workshop rounds and answer additional questions in a Q&A in the afternoon.

The world of work is also changing in the automotive sector: relationships, demands and expectations of and from managers and employees are changing. Laura Kottwitz showed how the relevance of emotional intelligence is growing at record speed in transformative upheavals. One problem: When change is imminent, people often fall into a state of shock in which they do not know how to deal with the situation. To prevent this from happening in the first place, employees need a consistent, strong management culture that motivates, values and guides them on their way through this transformation characterized by stress tests and uncertainty. Factors such as empathy, openness, error culture and willingness to learn are decisive here.

At DeepSkill, we train these and other emotional intelligence skills in companies through tailor-made coaching and training programs. In doing so, we address industry and company-specific challenges, needs and target groups and offer an all-round service package including program management and the implementation of the learning program via our digital learning platform, which GrowthHub.
