Gallup has once again published its report on the Engagement Index Germany 2022. It provides an in-depth analysis of the relationship between workers and their workplaces.
The main conclusion: Employees increasingly lack emotional attachment to their employer and the prevailing working environment.
Only 13% of respondents experience a positive working environment through leadership – the lowest figure since 2010. The consequences are massive, because employees who feel unwell sooner or later leave the company. According to Gallup, as many as 18% of employees have already quit internally. Again, a record since 2012.
Values such as these clearly testify to massive upheavals in the German labour market, to which companies must absolutely respond. For them, the question is how to regain trust and loyalty and retain employees in the long term. After all, 3 out of 4 companies report shortages of skilled workers.
Strengthening emotional attachment is a worthwhile investment for your company.
Up to 43% less turnover, 81% less absenteeism, 41% less quality defects and overall higher productivity can be achieved.
